This Pride Month, Kindred Post is bringing back the KP Pride Project, a community fundraiser supporting LGBTQ+ communities in Alaska through the Pride Foundation.
Based in Juneau, Alaska, Kindred Post has always believed that connection is a tool for social justice. Pride isn't something we save for June; it's reflected year-round in the artists we carry, the people who gather in our space, and the community we're continually working to build. June simply gives us an opportunity to celebrate a little louder.
The KP Pride Project began as a way to make support visible while raising funds for organizations doing important work for LGBTQ+ people across Alaska. What started as a simple idea has grown into one of our favorite annual traditions.
Last year, together, our community raised more than $1,800 for the Pride Foundation. This year, we're hoping to make an even bigger impact.
Supporting the Pride Foundation in Alaska
Proceeds from the KP Pride Project benefit the Pride Foundation, an organization that has spent decades investing in LGBTQ+ communities through scholarships, advocacy, leadership development, and grassroots programs.
Their work helps expand opportunities, strengthen communities, and provide meaningful support for LGBTQ+ people throughout Alaska and in Juneau specifically.
We're honored to support that work and invite our community to join us.
How the KP Pride Project Works
When you participate in the KP Pride Project, you're helping fund LGBTQ+ programs while receiving a Progress Pride flag as a thank-you for your donation.
Donations of $25 or More
Receive:
- One 12" x 18" Progress Pride flag
- Free ground shipping anywhere in the United States
For Juneau Residents
Local participants can choose:
- Garden flag setup
- Hanging rod option
We'll offer pickup, delivery, and installation on the first three Saturdays in June.
Donations of $35 or More
Donations of $35 or more are automatically entered to win our Mega Pride Goodie Box featuring Pride-themed gifts from artists and makers we love.
In-Store Donations
Visitors to Kindred Post can make an in-store donation between $10 and $24 and receive a free Pride pin of their choice.

Every year, we're reminded how many people want to help create communities where LGBTQ+ people feel welcomed, celebrated, and supported. The KP Pride Project gives us a tangible way to do that together.
