A Note from the Artist:This design was inspired by a 1700 ‘Nootka’ or properly known as Nuučaan̓uɫ war-club acquired by colonizer Captain Cook. A lot of thought, research, and effort goes into conceptualizing and creating cultural designs. I found this design in the book ‘A Wealth of Thought’ written by Franz Boas. I wanted to pay homage to my maternal Nuučaan̓uɫ and breath life back into this ancestral design, and for it to be worn in a modern way with a warrior spirit. This statement necklace set will be available together or sold separately.
