First established in LA in 1950 by Mr. and Mrs. Compartes, who made classic European style chocolates and served American icons like Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. After 50 years, the company was bought by the Grahm family, and little Jonathan Grahm began chocolatiering at the age of 15. In true Charlie and the Chocolate Factory style, he bought Compartes at 24 and has dedicated his life to creating the most mouthwatering and whimsical chocolate possible. He has turned the chocolate tradition on its head, more akin to designing a little work of art. Compartes boasts such beautiful flavors as Pink Elephant Dark Chocolate, Vegan Kale Dark Chocolate, Rainbow Tie Dye Chocolate, Churros and Horchata Chocolate, and the beloved Milk Chocolate Potato Chip.
